Our registered office is Building 18, Gateway 1000 Whittle Way, Arlington Business Park, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England, SG1 2FP. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZB918058.
What we do
IFA Connect introduces individuals and families to independent financial advisers. We are not an algorithm and we are not a directory you are left to search alone. Our team speaks to you, understands what you are trying to achieve, and introduces you to an adviser suited to it. Using IFA Connect is free and there is no obligation to proceed with anyone we introduce you to.
We introduce, the adviser advises
IFA Connect is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not provide financial advice. We do not recommend or endorse any financial product, platform or provider. Our role is to make the introduction. The advice relationship, and the regulatory protections that come with it, sits between you and the adviser you choose, who is authorised and regulated by the FCA.
How we are paid
Advisers pay to be part of the IFA Connect network. You never pay us, and what we are paid makes no difference to the fees you agree with your adviser or to which adviser we introduce you to.
Fees for advice
Our introduction is free. If you choose to work with an adviser, their fees are agreed directly between you and them before you commit to anything. Our page on financial adviser fees explains the usual charges.
Checking an adviser
Every adviser we introduce is authorised and regulated by the FCA. You can check any firm or adviser on the FCA’s Financial Services Register before you go ahead, and the FCA explains how to check a firm or individual.
Protection when you take advice
Regulated advice comes with protections. If you are unhappy with advice from an FCA-authorised firm, you can complain to the firm and then to the Financial Ombudsman Service, and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme may pay compensation if an authorised firm fails. These protections cover the advice your adviser gives you. They do not cover our introduction, because we are not authorised by the FCA.
Our guides are not advice
Our guides are for general information only and are not financial advice. IFA Connect is not authorised or regulated by the FCA. For advice on your circumstances, speak to an FCA-regulated independent financial adviser. Tax rules and allowances can change, and their value depends on your circumstances. The value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you put in.
